ABOUT ABOUT

Come enjoy a casual happy hour with former classmates, instructors, staff and current students IN THE Billy Frank Jr. Conference Center at Ecotrust (second floor)!

5:30 - 6:30pm Coaching At Work: An Alumni Development Workshop led by Professor Sully Taylor

Do you sometimes wish you were more skillful in helping colleagues or direct reports facing performance challenges to improve?  Do you wonder how to begin, where to go and how to end a conversation intended to help someone find their way to a good solution without giving them the answer?  In this interactive presentation, we will explore what coaching is (and isn’t), when to deploy (or not), some major steps in the process, and what you need to bring to the conversation in order to support the development of others.

From her early years in London and Mexico through a career in international training, academic research, teaching and leadership, Sully Taylor has always been passionate about exploring the world and understanding others. Her own lifetime of leadership experiences opened her eyes to the need for constantly learning how her own way of being, thinking and interacting impacts others in the workplace. She's lived in Portland, Oregon since 1990, and in addition to spending time with my partner Bob and friends, she loves travel, reading, hiking, painting and drawing.

6:30 - 8:00pm Connect to Community Networking

Connect, network, discuss, debate, share a bite and have a drink with current students, School of Business Faculty and Graduate Business Programs Staff at the awesome Ecotrust space in The Pearl. This quarter we will offer structured networking between alumni, faculty and current students.

There will be complimentary appetizers provided from a local, women-owned business and there will be cash/debit bar. Business casual attire is appropriate.
