Creating an inclusive environment is an important priority for the School in order to become a community of choice. In this spirit, I want to call your attention to an upcoming training workshop on Understanding and Achieving Equity with Dante James from the City of Portland’s Office of Equity and Human Rights that will be held this Wednesday, March 30th from 12 to 2 PM in the Faculty Lounge. This workshop is being sponsored by the SBA Diversity and Equity Task Force. The workshop will cover systemic racism (both institutional and structural), implicit bias, and equity. Practical exercises will help to bring the topics to life and provide meaningful take-aways that can be applied immediately.
