Presented by PSU's Center for Executive and Professional Education and the Buckman Coffee Factory, this workshop will provide participants with an overview of the essentials of running a specialty coffee business. While there is plenty of information available on managing a successful retail coffee operation, there is relatively little on how to run a coffee business from a wholesale or roaster’s perspective. We’ll learn some of the key elements involved in this aspect of the coffee industry, such as supply chain management; quality control; perfecting your roast style; and positioning your business in the market.
